Assassin’s Creed Unity: Time Anomalies Trailer
The A
ssassin's Creed universe has always experimented fancifully with it's historical timeframes, but this new trailer shows that
Unity is taking that experimentation to a whole new level of crazy.
Dubbed the 'Time Anomalies Trailer' it shows the game's animus simulation of the French Revolution "collapsing" and leaking into what appears to be World War 2 era Paris. This results in some
Bioshock Infinite-esque anachronisms. We see our protagonist Arno scaling the Eiffel Tower, dodging trains and even commanding a turret! This is pretty interesting stuff and makes me real curious to see how far they take this new twist in the formula. I will say though it's a bit of a bummer that Ubisoft chose to reveal this facet of the game in a pre-release trailer. Would've been a nice surprise to encounter on my own. Ah well.
Assassin's Creed Unity will arrive on Xbox One, PC and PS4 on November 11th.
