Adam Stafford Cast as Geomancer on The Flash
"Barry Allen is in for quite an after-shock."
According to
ComicBook.com,
The Flash has cast Adam Stafford as Adam Fells - better known as DC Comics villain Geomancer. True to his moniker, Geomancer is described as “a dangerous meta-human with the unique ability to create earthquakes.” And in his debut in episodes 13 and 14 of the current season, he will “[use] his powers to unleash a string of targeted earthquakes, optimistic that he’ll draw out the Flash for a mano-a-mano fight to see who’s the most powerful metahuman in Central City."

Along with Atom Smasher and Jay Garrick, Geomancer makes three characters from

The Flash Producer Greg Berlanti commented that the two episodes Geomancer features in are two of the “craziest episodes that [they’ve] ever done – and probably two of [his] favorite episodes ever,” so it looks like the series may finally be ramping up after finishing off its last major tie in to
Legends of Tomorrow prior to the fall finale.
Earlier this week Eliza Harmon, a Lex Luthor-created speedster in the comics, was another DC Comics character revealed to be making an appearance on the show (per
TV Line). And while I don't think another speedster would work to the benefit of the series (even if her having speed-based abilities isn't a certainty right now), her intelligence and “split personality a la Jekyll and Hyde” could make for an interesting confrontation with the Flash. Plus, the “hmm…” after TV Line mentioned that she was a Lex Luthor-created speedster (coupled with the fact that we already have Barry Allen, Jay Garrick, Wally West, Jesse Quick, and Zoom as either current or almost-definite future speedsters) indicates there might be something to the character we don't expect.
The Flash returns with episode 10 on January 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
