Action Lab Entertainment’s C2E2 Announcements
During Action Lab Entertainment's first ever appearance at the Diamond Retailer Summit at C2E2, the small and award-winning publishing company made several important announcements. These announcements are all part of the companies plan to become one of the premier publishers of creator-owned and license comics, which I would have no problem with considering I've enjoyed several of their comics including
Princeless and their Free Comic Book Day
Molly Danger/Princeless.

One of Action Lab's announcements is sure to put smiles on every one of their readers faces: starting with their comics listed in the June Previews, all of Action Lab's books are going to be sold for $2.99 instead of the previously standard amount of $3.99. Even better, the standard number of pages in their books will now be 32 pages. Their licensed book
NFL RushZone will only be twenty pages long but it is only being sold for $1.99 and will be coming out twice a month.
Another announcement was that, starting with Jamal Igle's
Molly Danger (which will begin in July), Action Lab will start selling 48 page oversized European Style hardcovers for $19.99. All of these changes are coming on the heels of the launch of Action Lab's new mature imprint,
Action Lab: Danger Zone. The books released under this imprint will nearly double the size of Action Lab's monthly catalogue.
Action Lab: Danger Zone's launch titles include
Ehmm Theory,
The Trip (previously
Sensory Distortion) and
Ghost Town which will be released this month followed by other mature series like
The Final Plague and
Night of the 80's Undead in June.

All of these announcements mark a lot of changes in the history of this small but remarkable publisher and they don't show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. With the launch of their Retailer Network, any retailers interested in learning about Action Lab's upcoming products can talk to their coordinate (and
Princeless writer) Jeremy Whitley at
