Sony and Superbot's fighting game, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, is coming out on Tuesday, but they are already hard at work on downloadable content after launch. Today, they announced two new fighters as DLC that will be released early next year. Kat from Gravity Rush, one of the recommended games to get on the Playstation Vita, and her unique abilties involving gravity from that game pose her a great threat to the rest of the roster. The other character announced as DLC is Emmett Graves from Starhawk, the multiplayer shooter that came out earlier this year on the PS3. Emmett's playstyle includes not only the weapons from that game, but also its Build-n-Battle system, which allows players to build objects to their advantage against the opposition and call for help from the skies.
There is no footage of these two characters in action yet since Superbot is not ready to show them off, but when they are released early next year, they will be free for the first two weeks of their availability. The developers have said more DLC is in the works than those two characters, so expect more information on that soon. I have my hands-on impressions of the beta that ended a couple weeks ago if you want to know what this fighter plays like and how it seperates itself from being a Super Smash Bros. clone. Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale comes out this Tuesday for the Playstation 3 and Vita. If you buy the PS3 version, you'll also get the Vita version as part of the Cross Buy promotion.
