Despite the game not being out till January, Capcom has already announced DLC for DmC: Devil May Cry that stars Dante's brother Vergil. Vergil was revealed a few months back in a previous trailer, but now he is a playable character in the game's first DLC called Vergil's Downfall. This DLC will how explain how Vergil's backstory before the events of the main game. If you played Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, Vergil has a different playstyle than Dante and it is still the case in Ninja Theory's upcoming reboot. He has his own set of weapons and moves to deal damage against new enemies not seen in the main game. The four difficulty levels that were announced for Dante's campaign will also apply for this DLC.
Capcom plans to release Vergil's Downfall sometime after the game's January 15th release for $8.99 or 720 Microsoft Points. The DLC, however, is free if you pre-order at specific retailers like Gamestop.
