Supergirl Casts Peter Gadiot as Mr. Mxyzptlk

Supergirl is expanding its cast, this time with the addition of Peter Gadiot as Mr. Mxyztlk, according to TVLine. Gadiot is best known for his role as Cyrus on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Mr. Mxyzptlk is a well-known villain in the DC Comics universe. He is able to bend reality and does so to trick and torment Superman. The only way Superman could send Mr. Mxyzptlk back home (to the 5th dimension) was by tricking him to say or spell his own name backwards. There aren’t any specific details as to how Mr. Mxyzptlk will fit into Kara’s world, but he sounds like interesting new adversary for the series. It is reported that he will appear in episode 13 of this season of Supergirl. In addition, The CW also announced over the weekend that Supergirl (along with Arrow, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Supernatural, and Jane the Virgin) has been renewed for another season, which means there will be many more DC Comics villains to come.
