Chris Lowell Cast in Netflix’s GLOW
Chris Lowell (
Veronica Mars,
Enlisted,
Graves) has nabbed a recurring role on Netflix’s
GLOW alongside Alison Brie and Marc Maron. This is the latest comedy from Jenji Kohan, the executive producer of
Orange is the New Black,
according to Deadline.
GLOW is written by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch and is inspired by the real story of the 1980s female wrestling league. The show is set in Los Angeles and tells the fictionalized story of Ruth (Brie). Ruth is a struggling actresses who finds herself thrown into the world of women’s wrestling in a weekly series.
Lowell will play a recurring character named Sebastian “Bash” Howard, a rich playboy obsessed with wrestling. He helps create and fund the first female wrestling television program. Alex Rich (
True Detective) has also booked a recurring role on the series, playing Florian, Bash’s childhood best friend, who is now his butler.
The first season of
GLOW will be ten episodes long and is set to premiere on Netflix in 2017. Will you be watching?
