TellTale announces release date for “The Walking Dead: A New Frontier”

Telltale announced season 3 of
The Walking Dead game series back in June at E3. In that same announcement, Telltale gave us a tentative November release date. However, November has nearly all but passed without a release in sight. So when are we actually getting our hands on
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier?
According to Telltale's latest news post, December 20th is the official release date for episode one of the season 3. However, this is only the date for the worldwide digital release. For those wanting a hard copy of the game, you'll have to wait until February 7th for the "Season Pass Disc." This disc will include the first five episodes of
A New Frontier. The later four episodes will be downloadable once they're released.
There will be a special preview of the first episode at The Game Awards on December 1st. If you can't wait until then, here's a description of what the season will be about from Telltale's website:
"When family is all you have left... how far will you go to protect it? Four years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier? As Javier, a young man determined to find the family taken from him, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss. Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last."
