Alice Eve, the beautiful actress who graced the screen in this year’s She’s Out of My League, is currently negotiating to portray Emma Frost in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming X-Men: First Class. Frost begins her journey in the comic as an enemy but later joins the X-Men; she has the power of telepathy.
Eve was at one point in the running to play Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger, but the role went to Hayley Atwell. However, it is good to know that Eve will still have a part in the Marvel films. Deadline New York reports that Frost was, in a certain poll, considered the Hottest Comic Book Babe of 2005. That being said, Eve is a perfect fit for the role: not only is she an incredibly gorgeous actress who looks like she walked out of a film noir; she is also very talented and has potential to be one of the best actresses of her generation.
Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy were previously confirmed to be playing Magneto and Xavier, respectively. Young actor Benjamin Walker is also attached as Beast and two actresses who have been closely linked to the film are Amber Heard (Mystique) and Rosamund Pike (Dr. Moira MacTaggert). Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson, who worked with Vaughn on that film, is also rumored to be attached to the film in some capacity. More decisions will surely be made soon to keep "First Class" on target for a release less than one year away.
