Supergirl Could Be Moving to The CW
"More crossovers could be on the horizon."
With two weeks to go until CBS announces their fall schedule at the upfront presentations in New York, the deadline is fast approaching for a renewal decision regarding
Supergirl, according to
The Wrap. Unfortunately for
Supergirl fans, despite sources close to the series saying the network wants the show to return, the series
carries a hefty $3 million-per-episode price tag which the season's ratings haven’t done much to justify.

Given that The CW Network is owned by both CBS and Warner Bros. there are rumors the show could be moved there, where it would join other superhero series
Arrow,
Legends of Tomorrow, and
The Flash. However, The Wrap notes that The CW doesn't provide very large budgets to their shows, so cutbacks would be required and they wouldn’t be likely to receive sizeable licensing fees for the studios. On top of that, those close to the series have been quick to stamp out rumors of the move.
If the decision is made to continue the series at The CW, there's no doubt that Supergirl would become a bigger part of the Arrowverse, as "Worlds' Finest" seemed to be the highlight of the first season for many people. Since nothing has been confirmed yet, though, we'll just have to wait and see.
