Emma Stone, Jonah Hill to Reunite for Show
Emma Stone and Jonah Hill might be reuniting, but this time on television, according to
Variety.
They are in talks to star in the half-hour comedy, titled
Maniac, directed by Cary Fukunaga from Paramount TV and Anonymous Content, but there is no network attached to the project at this time.
According to Variety, the show will be looking to air on a cable network or streaming service. It is predicted that Netflix will be the network to jump on this series, because they have already worked with Fukunaga with his award-recognized film,
Beasts of No Nation, which was the first original feature film for the streaming service.
Maniac is about a man who is locked up in an institution, but who lives a second life through his dreams. Hill and Stone would be playing patients in the institution.
If the series gets picked up, this would be the first series regular roles for both actors. They last time they worked together was in 2007 for the Judd Apatow film,
Superbad.
