UnReal Casts Two New Contestants For Season 2
Lifetime’s
UnReal has cast two more of its contestants for its upcoming sophomore season, according to
Variety.
Both Meagan Tandy and Kim Matula have been signed on as season regulars. They will play two of the women trying to capture the heart of this season’s bachelor, Darius Hill (BJ Britt) on the fictional dating show,
Everlasting.
Tandy, who was most recently seen on
Teen Wolf, will be playing Chantal, "a Southern debutante who is the perfect combination of elegance, beauty and grace." She recently lost her fiance and now believes that it is her destiny to marry Hill.
Matula, who is best known for her work on
The Bold and the Beautiful, will play an attractive, smart, and wealthy all-American girl named Tiffany. She hopes the show will help set her apart from her father, who owns a professional football team.
Tandy and Matula will be joining cast members Denee Benton and Monica Barbaro, who will play other contestants, and Gentry White, who will play Darius’ cousin.
The second season of
UnReal will center around the new suitor Darius Hill, who is an attractive quarterback who is hoping to get himself out of a PR scandal. His casting, as the first African-American suitor on
Everlasting, is meant to be a jab at ABC's
The Bachelor, which has never had an African-American suitor.
UnReal will return to Lifetime this summer.
