Andy Mientus Returning to The Flash

Andy Mientus will be reprising his role as the Pied Piper in a future episode of The Flash, according to Entertainment Weekly. He made his debut on The Flash in the first season as Hartley Rathaway, the former protege of Harrison Wells at S.T.A.R. Labs. Hartley became a metahuman called Pied Piper after losing his hearing in an explosion. The Pied Piper will be back in the 17th episode of this season, which is appropriately titled “Flash Back." He will return to wreak havoc on his former colleagues when The Flash manages to revisit an earlier timeline. See how The Flash deals with this blast from the past when it airs Tuesday at 8/7c on the CW. Fans can also look forward to the Supergirl/The Flash crossover episode coming later this season. Mientus was most recently seen in Deaf West's revival of Spring Awakening on Broadway, which closed at the end of January and he also starred on the second and final season of NBC's Smash.
