Doctor Who Spin-off Coming Soon

BBC America recently announced that the
Doctor Who spin-off series,
Class, will air in the United States in 2016.
The series will have eight parts and is from the young-adult author, Patrick Ness. The series will be executive produced by
Doctor Who’s Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin and filmed in Cardiff, Wales.
Ness said he is thrilled to be entering the
Doctor Who universe and he can’t wait for fans to meet the characters of
Class. He has hinted that the series will introduce all-new villains and aliens, according to
Variety.
Ness recently released a new novel,
The Rest of Us Just Live Here, and his popular book,
A Monster Calls has a film adaptation coming out later this year, starring Felicity Jones and Sigourney Weaver.
Class will be set in contemporary London and has been already been compared to
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and
The Hunger Games with the added element of time and space.
Class is already set to air on BBC Three in the U.K and stateside fans can look forward to it airing on BBC America later this year.
