With Halo 4’s release approaching, Microsoft might already be looking at the next installment in the franchise. Microsoft recently registered many domains related to “Halo Infinity:” HaloInfinity.net, HaloInfinityMultiplayer.com, HaloInfinity.org, and so on. The domains were registered through Mark Monitor, a brand protection agency, and it just so happens that Microsoft.com is registered through Mark Monitor too.
Microsoft also registered a slew of “SpartanOps” domain names: SpartanOps.co.uk, SpartanOps.jp, and more. None of the “Halo Infinity” or “SpartanOps” websites are live yet.
Microsoft is keeping quiet for now, but they did tell Gamespot: "Microsoft often acquires various domain names as part of its ongoing business strategy, but beyond that we have no comment."
