Dark Souls 3 is coming next year, but some fans might get a chance to play the upcoming From Software RPG early. From Software and Bandai Namco have announced a "network stress test" beta. Players who want to be a part of the test and sign up now via this website. The Dark Souls 3 beta is only for PS4 users, no Xbox One or PC beta has been announced yet.
On the FAQ section of the beta sign-up site From Software explains the reason they are doing a beta.
The goal is to have testers help us create a better game by reporting the bugs and errors they discover as they play.
You can sign-up now if you are interested. But be warned, the FAQ makes it clear that you will not be allowed to post any video, screenshots or etc online. So no streaming the Dark Souls 3 beta. Though I expect many will break this rule and video of the game will leak out, so if you don't get chosen or you don't have a PS4 don't worry. You will get to see gameplay of the beta.
Dark Souls 3 is coming out next year. First it will be released in Japan on March 24th and it will hit US shores in April. You can read our review of the last Dark Souls game here and our review of the latest From Software game Bloodborne here.
