Sonic Boom Returns on 3DS

Sonic Boom has a new game underway for the Nintendo 3DS, this time subtitled Fire & Ice.

Nintendo released the trailer on their YouTube page earlier today. From the looks of it, it expands on the previous Sonic Boom 3DS game, Shattered Crystal, with now all five main characters playable, Sonic Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks. It will again be developed by Sanzaru Games.
According to a press release from Sega right after the trailer unveiling, Fire and Ice will "infuse fire and ice elements throughout gameplay," meaning it'll allow you to use fire and ice abilities in the levels. Alongside that is Bot Racing, "a supplemental game" with multiplayer tied to the single player, where players unlock "character themed Bots to challenge friends on fast courses or tracks."
Sega's press release also discusses the new season of the Sonic Boom cartoon as well as a new mobile app, Sonic Central that delivers Sonic News in one place.
