All Things Rise with New ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer
The fire rises! And with the newest trailer for
The Dark Knight Rises now available at
Apple iTunes Trailers, your spirits, anticipation and expectations ... among other things ... will rise too.
After the six-minute prologue debuted this weekend before IMAX showings of
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Warner Bros. and
Christopher Nolan have unveiled a new two-minute trailer for 2012's most anticipated film.
The trailer keeps things pretty cryptic, but it's clear that there's a lower-class uprising going on that will suddenly break a period of peace in Gotham.
Then there's Bane (Tom Hardy) blowing up a football field and some awesome shots of the tumbler and the buzzed-about aircraft. The trailer also gives face time to a lot of the stars we haven't seen yet:
Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle),
Marion Cotillard (Miranda Tate),
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (John Blake) and
Matthew Modine (Nixon) to name the most notable ones. Hathaway gets some series-trademark rhetoric to deliver that implies she's in cahoots with Bane or other uprising folks, and we get just glimpses of the others.
Just seven months and one day until we get answers.
