IDW Announces Disney Line

This week IDW announced the list of new titles that they are adding to their new Disney Line. Expect Uncle Scrooge, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Walt Disney's Comics and Stories to have new stories starting in the later half of this year. Uncle Scrooge will be the first book released as part of the line. Issue 1 will be released in April. Donald Duck will be released in May and Mickey Mouse in June. Walt Disney's Comics and Stories will continue publication with issue 723 and will be released in September.   disney-events-calendar-821x1024-16899 IDW is known for their many franchise comic books and it's great that they now have the rights to publish stories from one of the biggest franchises in the world. Boom Studios lost the rights to Disney after Disney bought Marvel. I am surprised that Marvel hasn't tried to take more advantage publishing Disney comic books. In the past couple of years they have only published a few mini-series based on the rides in the Disney parks. What do you think about IDW's Disney line up? Do you think they are the right company to write these books? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
