Spider Woman’s New Costume
This week Marvel released new images of Spider-Woman's (aka Jessica Drew) new costume. Her new series is currently on issue 2 and in the mix of Spider-Verse. Jessica will be getting her new look in
Spider-Woman #5. This will be a new stylish costume for Jessica in the vein of Batgirl's new look.
Were these changes made because of the controversy with Milo Manara's
Spider-Woman variant cover? The artist defended his work saying that Jessica's spandex costume made her look the way she did. This could be one of the many reasons for her costume change. Or maybe Marvel just wanted a new modern look for the character.
In my opinion the costume makes Spider Woman look a bit young. I do like that it looks stylish but it may be a better fit for a character like Anya (Spider-Girl/Arana), who is a high school/college student.
