DmC Definitive Edition & Devil May Cry 4 SE Coming to PS4/XB1
"Ninja Theory's reboot remastered along with a surprise return in Devil May Cry 4's Special Edition"
Two more remastered games are coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox One in 2015 by Capcom.
DmC Definitive Edition, 2013's reboot of the
Devil May Cry franchise developed by Ninja Theory remastered is coming first on March 17th.
Along with the usual 1080p, 60 fps and improved graphics on the current crop of consoles, this version is filled with new modes and balance changes. From new difficulties such as Gods Must Die & Must Style, fans of the game are eager to come back and challenge themselves. The Vergil's Downfall DLC plus extra skinsĀ for Dante along with some new ones for the
Definitive Edition are also included. Mechanics from past games such as manual lock-on are slated to return in this version as well. The trailer can be seen below.
The end of the trailer also teased
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, slated to be released this summer. The big reveal however is the return of Vergil even though he wasn't in the original game in the first place. Capcom will elaborate on that at a later time since
DmC Definitive Edition is coming first.
While it is not a new
Devil May Cry sequel, this is at least a start for another comeback for the franchise. Fans are still not thrilled of the aesthetic changes in Ninja Theory's reboot, but the game itself is still a solid character action game and the changes for the
Definitive Edition make it worth revisiting. The Vergil reveal though for
Devil May Cry 4 SE is something no one expected and that alone is exciting fans more than the other remaster.
