Idina Menzel Hints at “Frozen 2”

Grossing over $1.2 Billion worldwide, Frozen has created a market all its own with toys, an upcoming musical/ice show, merchandise and more. Singer/Actress Idina Menzel (Elsa) sat down with The Telegraph to discuss her Broadway show If/Then, when the conversation turned to her most-widely known performance. When asked about the possibility of Frozen 2, Menzel said, “That they’re all in the works, ha ha!" And when prodded regarding her place in any future Frozen productions, "Ah, yeah sure… Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.” While this is some exciting news for Frozen fans, and pretty much anyone under the age of 12, Disney has not commented or confirmed Menzel's statements. Although a production schedule has been released through 2018 (via /Film), Disney's only two unnamed spots are in 2018, and it seems doubtful that either will be Frozen 2 - which means the sequel might take a while. While Frozen may be Disney's biggest cash cow, they are plenty busy with Lucasfilm and Marvel to justify holding off a sequel. With plenty of support from fans and, seemingly, the entire cast, Frozen 2 might not be that far off.
