CBS Cancels The Millers
Just a few episodes into its second season the Greg Garcia half-hour comedy,
The Millers has been cancelled by CBS. The show will air its scheduled new episode on November 17, but will be pulled after that with no indication if thee network will decide to unload the remaining episodes sometime in the future, leaving six unaired installments on the shelf. After moving to Mondays behind the successful
Two Broke Girls the series, which starred Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, and Beau Bridges, reached ratings lows and failed to produce the lead-in boost to the freshman drama
Scorpion that the network was certainly hoping for.
CBS has a couple of options to serve as replacements, a new season of Mike and Molly is ready to air as well as the new mid-season comedy
The Odd Couple, of course the network could always just insert
Big Bang Theory reruns virtually anywhere in its schedule and do alright with that. Are you going to miss
The Millers once it is gone? Was the network too hasty in making its decision? If there is one thing that comes out of this is that Margo Martindale will now be free to do even more amazing guest work on
The Americans. Gotta look for that silver lining, right?
