The Sims 4 Will Be Getting Free Updates Adding Pools, Star Wars Costumes & More
"New Content Is Being Added To The Sims 4 In Free Monthly Updates"
EA has
announced that
The Sims 4 will be receiving some new content in some upcoming updates over the next few months. This content will include pools and ghosts. These features were missing from the game at launch and caused some
controversy months ago, due to their absence. EA
explained they had received lots of "feedback" since the game launched a month ago and that they had "...designed The
Sims 4 to be a live service," which they can "...continually evolve , add new content, and incorporate as much of your feedback as possible."
The first update goes live today, October 1st. "The October Update" will bring ghosts to
The Sims 4. Ghosts will have the ability to join a player's household and become playable characters. You will also be able to bring back your ghostly Sims back to life, "if you dare." You can watch the video below which shows gameplay of the ghosts in
The Sims 4, along with the new features the ghosts have.
Along with ghosts "The October Update" will bring
Star Wars themed Halloween costumes. These costumes will allow players to dress their Sims up like Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and even Yoda. Considering
EA has a deal to make Star Wars games, it makes sense these costumes will be available in
The Sims 4. New eye colors will be a part of this October update, as well as some minor bug fixes.
Beyond October Maxis and EA
announced that November and December will be receiving new updates as well. November will see the return of swimming pools and December's update will add new career paths and options. EA didn't give any more details on these upcoming updates, so we will have to wait and see what else these updates will bring to
The Sims 4.
The Sims 4 is available now for PC.
