The trailer for the adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey has been released today after being teased earlier this week by the singer Beyoncé. Based on the popular book by E.L. James (real name Erika Leonard) the adaptation by Nowhere Boy's director Sam Taylor-Johnson takes a very cold and clinical approach as the meek literature student Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson, Ben and Kate) ends up having a hot steaming affair with billionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan, Once Upon a Time). Not bad for something that started as Twilight fan fiction. It is infamous for its portrayal of BDSM and became known as housewife porn and mummy porn. 50 Shades of Grey has been adapted by Kelly Marcel (Saving Mr. Banks), Patrick Marber (Notes on a Scandal) and Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard - there's a fitting match).
