The already large ensemble cast of Game of Thrones just keeps growing, and recently three new characters were added to the roster. It is again a crop of lesser-known actors filling the roles, but that does not necessarily mean the characters they are portraying will have no impact on the series.
Playing the enigmatic caged prisoner of the Night's Watch, Jaqen H'ghar, is Tom Wlaschiha(Valkyrie). The German actor's character will be traveling with Arya Stark on her journey out of King's Landing. Jaqen is known for his seductive charm; which is only outweighed by his lethality.
British stage and screen actor, Nonso Anozie, was brought in to play Xaro Xhoan Daxos. In addition to his tongue-tying name, the character lives the life of a merchant prince in his city of birth, Qarth, and will feature in Daenerys Targaryen's storyline. Anozie can be seen along with fellow GoT alum, Jason Momoa, in the upcoming remake of Conan the Barbarian.
Gemma Whelan(The Wolfman) nabbed the role of Yara Greyjoy, sister to Theon Greyjoy, who serves Robb Stark. The ax-wielding, warrior woman's casting stirred up controversy amongst fans of the novels; not because of the actress, but for the change in her character's name. Originally dubbed Asha, the switch to Yara was on account of producers fearing the character would be confused with the captured Wildling, Osha, who currently resides at Winterfell.
