Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Final Release Dates Confirmed
It was only a matter of time when Capcom was going to announce the console release dates for
Ultra Street Fighter IV, the latest update from the
SFIV series. Japanese arcades have been enjoying the game since it came out last month over there, but next month, it is finally coming to consoles in time for the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, Evolution in July.
The $14.99 download option for
Ultra Street Fighter IV is out on June 3rd for the Playstation 3 and the next day on Xbox 360 requiring a
Super Street Fighter IV disc or the
Arcade Edition one. For those waiting for the retail option and the PC version, it will be out on August 5th. The disc and full digital versions are $39.99 while the PC version is just $29.99. The pre-order costumes for the five new characters: Hugo, Elena, Poison, Rolento, and Decapre, are still there for the retail version as the trailer that showcases them is available to watch below.
As mentioned earlier, the early June release for the update option gives serious players enough time to prep up for Evolution 2014, whether it is learning changes to the existing cast or character matchups, which is once again at Las Vegas, NV in July. Besides the gameplay changes,
Ultra SFIV is the most feature-filled update yet for the series with the Edition Select mode pitting various versions of characters against each other, new online modes, online training mode, replays that can be uploaded to YouTube, and many more.
Ultra Street Fighter IV comes out on June 3rd and 4th as an update for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 respectively. PC owners and those waiting for the retail option of the console versions have to wait till August 5th to finally get their hands on the latest iteration.
