Penny Dreadful Pilot Available Online

The pilot for Showtime’s upcoming drama series, Penny Dreadful has been made available free of charge in various internet platforms. In an effort to attract new subscribers and build an audience for the new series, non-subscribers and subscribers alike can check in on YouTube or the Showtime website for an advanced screening of the drama that Showtime summarizes in these words: “Some of literature's most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from the novel Dracula are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. Penny Dreadful is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.” The show stars Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Billie Piper, Timothy Dalton, and more. Writer John Logan (The Aviator, Hugo, Skyfall) created the series and and co-executive produces along with director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall).
