We seem to have finally reached that gap before Madden comes out and the fall rush returns, but there's still plenty of content to check out on the PS3 this week, especially if you haven't played one of the last generation's overlooked classics. Let's take a look.
In Stores Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 and a port of Sniper: Ghost Warrior are out this Tuesday. Neither are exactly AAA games, but if you like anime about giant robots and slaughtering vast hordes of enemies you might like the former, and if you dig realistic shooters that reward patience and understanding of real world physics you might like the latter.
On PSN
Beyond Good and Evil HD makes its way onto the Playstation Network today. If you somehow haven't played this game yet, it deserves a shot. It's one of the best games to take on the Zelda style ever released, with an intriguing plot and a nice mix of action and stealth gameplay. The HD visuals looks nice, too. Also out are Gatling Gears, a twin stick shooter with robots; Puzzle Dimension; and a version of Streets of Rage 2.
Demos
If you like to try games before you put down money, this update sees free trials of the multiplayer in Motorstorm Apocalypse and Homefront, and also demos of Gatling Gears and Beyond Good and Evil. You can also check out the controlversial Duke Nukem Forever for yourself, along with NCAA Football 12, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, and a Playstation Move version of Ape Escape.
Add-Ons
Nothing too noteworthy here this week, but there's plenty of downloads for games you might be interested in. Modnation Racers, Cars 2, Dirt 3, and of course Rock Band all have multiple packs of content to check out. Crysis 2 has a pack with maps and weapons, and there's bits and bobs for a few other games as well.
