Image Releases Early Artwork and Release Date For LOW
Announced at Image Expo this past January, the upcoming science-fiction fantasy series,
LOW, has fans buzzing with excitement. Anticipation is so high, that Image Comics has opted to reveal early artwork from the next great collaboration between Rick Remender (
Black Science,
Deadly Class) and Greg Tocchini (
Last Days of American Crime,
Uncanny X-Force).
LOW is set in a dreary distant future in which the Earth’s surface has been rendered uninhabitable by the Sun’s radiation, causing the remaining population to flee to underwater cities that cover the ocean floor. When a probe returns from an intergalactic search for an alternative planet to relocate to, a group of brave people must travel to the surface to recover information that could determine the future of mankind.
Having worked together before on
The Last Days of American Crime and
Otherworld, Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini have already established themselves as a winning combination. Recent ComicsPRO Industry Appreciation Award winner Eric Stephenson from Image Comics said of the collaboration, "What [Rick] and Greg have planned for LOW is nothing short of phenomenal."
LOW #1 is slated for released on July 30
