Costume Quest 2 Announced For 2014 Release

The long awaited sequel for Costume Quest is on it's way. Costume Quest 2 is tentatively scheduled for release this Halloween, four years after the original game was released. It will be coming to consoles and PC. So why did the game take so long to come out? Tim Schafer from Double Fine has stated, “It is that game, you can’t slip that schedule. It’s the kind of game you always want to revisit, there’s such a great core to it.”
The game will include a new improved battle system that will supposedly be “deeper and juicier” than the previous game according to Tim. The original game's heroes will return and will include “a new batch of costumes with which to transform into giant super powered fantasy Hallowarriors.”

The game will be published by Midnight City and we don't know which consoles it will be coming to, but we can assume it will include both current and next gen platforms. We should hear more about this newly announced title in the coming months.
