Hey! It's a LittleBigPlanet 2 trailer! And! It's looking very, very good! Exclamation points!
I had hard time wondering just what Media Molecule could do to expand the toolset. After watching the trailer, I know why I don't make games. These additions seem really obvious, but only after they're shown.
Of course: autonomous creatures, toolset allowing for other types of games (you saw some of this in the some of the top-down shooter levels in the original, but this looks much more flexible) and linking levels together for a much more cohesion (or even more nonsense, which is just as good, if not better). Duh. Plus, all of the 2 million+ levels created and uploaded in the first game will be backwards compatible with LittleBigPlanet 2, which will do a great job of keeping the playerbase healthy.
With a vague release date of Q4 2010, it's time to start thinking up levels. I was never good with creative expression, so it's up to you guys to do it for me. An underwater racer with sharks that shoot sunshine from their gills. And everything is on fire. Please get on it.
