According to the official PlayStation blog, the 2003 cult classic Beyond Good & Evil will be making its way to PSN this May—complete with HD graphics and audio makeover. Players will be able to “relive the adventures of Jade as she uncovers a planet-wide alien conspiracy that is taking over Hillys.” The original title is still considered one of the best adventure games on PS2 and will now be playable on the PS3. Those who purchase the game within the first two weeks after release will also receive two free character avatars, a Jade and Pey'j, as an added bonus.
Beyond Good & Evil HD for PS3 will feature the same great action that french game designer Michel Ancel and his development team worked into the original. Along with the improved visuals, the game will also sport an updated version of the award-winning soundtrack and show off the title's “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design.” Combining these two elements will likely result in the most complete Beyond Good & Evil experience yet. More information regarding pricing and actual release date will become available in the next few months. Fans will be able to keep tabs on the game by visiting the official Facebook page.
