Isaac Clarke Is In Dragon Age II
First came the Blood Dragon armor in Mass Effect 2. It was a strange bonus for Bioware fans and looked out of place in Mass Effect's sci-fi universe. Today, something even more absurd has been revealed: Isaac Clarke is actually
in Dragon Age II for those of us lucky enough to purchase Dead Space 2 prior to Dragon Age. Okay, so technically it isn't the
same Isaac Clarke we all know and love. Called Ser Isaac in Dragon Age, he is cast as a sort of vanquisher-of-darkness, a fairy tale hero who fights off unimaginable horrors. Presumably through a quest (it would be odd to just suddenly have the armor without going on a quest or two first, but then again this whole announcement is odd) that will only be available in new copies of Dead Space 2, you will be able to find armor based on Isaac's Dead Space 2 digs.
As Bioware's Chris Priestly wrote in the company's forums, "The chilling tales of Ser Isaac of Clarke are a favorite of bards performing in the wee hours of the night. In dank taverns throughout Thedas, these horror-filled stories captivate listeners and bring nightmares to those faint of heart."
Alright, alright, so that could potentially make for an interesting quest line in the game. But this is like combining tomatoes and peanut butter: it doesn't make any sense and it leaves a funny taste in our mouths. You can see the oddity for yourself below.
