It’s been almost a decade since the rise and fall of the Sega Dreamcast, leaving behind it a legacy of both innovation and failure. The system has spawned some classics and Sega is looking to cash in by dragging up old licenses from the dead.
The collection, which hits February 22nd here in North America, takes some of the most beloved games of all time puts them in one compilation. The collection includes Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing, and Space Channel 5: Part 2. The potential was overwhelming but with two titles already on Xbox Live and the other two being questionable choices for a collection, it really might fall on its face. It seems two more deserving titles would have been Shenmue and Power Stone, or really anything other than Bass Fishing and the second, not first, title of the Space Channel 5 series.
In either case, it will be available for you to pick up and try for yourself. No word yet if Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure will have retooled achievements from their XBLA counterparts. Look for big disappointment coming February from Sega.
