PC Gamers and Oddworld fans have been waiting over five years for Stranger’s Wrath to be ported to the PC, and Monday December the 20th, we’ll finally get the chance to play one of the best XBox games on our fancy gaming PC’s. Stranger’s Wrath is one of four Oddworld games which can be bought individually, or altogether as a bundle called the Oddboxx.
The Oddboxx will hit Steam on the 20th, but will also come out for many other digital distributors a few days later. The whole thing will cost $24.99. The first two Oddworld games, Abe’s Oddysee, and Abe’s Exoddus have been available on Steam for years already, but Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee have not been released on PC yet.
The Steam release date, through no coincidence, is on the first day of Steam’s big Holiday Sale, and the Oddboxx will be marked down by 50% on launch day, then will be marked down by 25% through January 3rd.
Even though these are ports of older console games, the Oddworld titles are some of the best examples of world-building and story-telling in games. The four games together are highly recommended at the half-pittance they’ll go for on Steam launch day. We’ll have reviews of Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee next week to let you know how well they were ported over.
