No, not the website.
James Cameron will make a documentary about the Amazon’s indigenous people, focusing on those that are against the construction of a dam because they think it will flood the tribal lands. The famous director will travel to Brazil later this year to make this film. According to ComingSoon.net, Cameron has been to the Amazon twice and has already filmed a short piece on this subject. Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I want to return to meet some of the leaders of the Xikrin-Kayapo tribe who invited me. I want to take a 3-D camera to film how they live, their culture.”
It certainly sounds like an interesting follow-up to Avatar. Whether or not this will be a strong documentary is still up in the air, but it is true that Cameron has a certain way with a camera. Expect this to be in high contention for Best Documentary Feature in whatever year it is released. Work on this film is set to begin either later this year or sometime early next year.
