Sony is offering a more complete 3-D package with MotorStorm 3D Rift, a standalone single player racing experience that takes full advantage of that 3-D TV you’ve been eyeing. Released on the heels of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, EA brings us Shank, a 2-D side-scrolling beat-em-up that lets you murder a ton of fools. If that sounds too intimidating (or repetitive), give the free demo a try. MAG has an open beta for some new modes beginning today. Just keep in mind that the beta requires the MAG disc to gain access.
Mafia II is the only retail release this week and features some day one DLC. Mafia II continues the gritty, mob action-drama with Vito Scaletta who returns home from the war only to find himself swept into the gangster lifestyle. The game painstakingly details the late 40’s early 50’s and even features issues of Playboy magazine as collectible items. Playstation Plus content is back this week with a wonderfully named bundle—Soldner-X2: Final Prototype + Soldner-X: Himmelstrurmer which is an impressive set of 2 horizontally scrolling shooters and is well worth the $10.79 price tag.
