This week there were a slew of departure announcements. Geoff Johns leaving Aquaman was part of these major departures. This departure had less buzz than other creative teams leaving their titles like The Flash and Batwoman.
In the past, Aquaman has always been the butt of comic book fan’s jokes. But with Geoff Johns' New 52 run on Aquaman he became a beloved character in the forefront of DC Comics’ stories.
Geoff Johns' last issue on Aquaman will be released in November with the conclusion of the “Death of a King” arc. With Geoff Johns leaving Aquaman this will give him more time to focus on the Justice League, which is one of the reasons he left his nine year run on Green Lantern.
Did you guys expect Geoff Johns to leave Aquaman? Do you think this means he will be working on other titles? Who do you think will replace Geoff Johns? Tell us in the comments below.
