Namco Bandai had a panel at San Diego Comic-Con earlier today and they announced Soul Calibur II HD Online for Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. It is the game's ten year anniversary surprisingly and it is coming back in HD with all of the modes that were in the original console versions.
If you don't remember the game's multiplatform release back in 2003, each version had an exclusive character with the Playstation 2 folks having Tekken's Heihachi, Spawn on the Xbox, and the Legend of Zelda's Link for the GameCube. Out of the three, you can probably tell which one sold the best, but what about this HD version? So far, only Heihachi has been confirmed as seen in the announcement trailer below and there was no word of a Wii U version to feature Link because this HD port for PSN and XBLA is going to based on the PS2 version.
Other than the price not announced yet, Soul Calibur II HD Online is coming out this fall for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Anyone excited to revisit one of the best fighting games of the last console generation? Let us know in the comments below.
