A new co-star is set to join Matt Dillon in the upcoming event series being created by M. Night Shyamalan, Wayward Pines. Melissa Leo will join Dillon in what is shaping up to be a terrific drama series that many people are eagerly anticipating. Melissa Leo is famous for her film roles, particularly the The Fighter, which won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. This series, which is set to premiere on Fox in the fall of 2014, is based on a novel by Blake Crouch and centers on a Secret Service agent named Ethan Burke, played by Matt Dillon, who arrives in a small town in Idaho (called Wayward Pines), hoping to find two Federal Agents who have gone missing. His quest only seems to turn up more questions in a thrilling adventure story that will surely entertain.
Melissa Leo's character is Pam, an intense and unpredictable nurse who treats Ethan when he first wakes up in a hospital after arriving in Wayward Pines. The two of them soon become rivals, and her role in the town proves to be much deeper than it first appears. Wayward Pines, one of the first two event series green-lighted by Fox, is written by Chad Hodge and directed by M. Night Shyamalan; both of them are set to executive produce. Leo also has a film called The Butler coming out in August, and she is appearing in the last season of the HBO drama Treme, which returns in October.
