Two weeks ago Sophia Myles joined the growing cast of Transformers 4. Now, new Autobots and Deceptions are joining in on the action, including the Dinobots.
The Dinobots are fan favorites in the Transformers mythology and have appeared in all forms of Transformers media, except the movies. Rumors have stemmed back to the making of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen that the Dinobots would make an appearance. Joblo reports that the Dinobots’ leader Grimlock will feature in a battle in Hong Kong with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
Adding to the roster are Hound, a long starting Autobot who has redefined as a Deception who defects to Autobots because he want regain his honor and one of the primary villains will be the Deception Lockdown. Megatron is also set to return as his alter-ego Galvatron who first appeared in Transformers: The Movie and was originally voiced by Leonard Nimoy.
The final bit of Transformers news is Chinese actress Bingbing Li joins the cast. Bingbing has appeared in a variety of Western and Chinese movies including Resident Evil: Retribution, Forbidden Kingdom and 1911. The news was announced by m1905.com, a Chinese film-related portal run by the state-owned China Movie Channel. It is believed her casting was a part of a deal with the Chinese production companies China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises.
Transformers 4 is set to be released on June 27 2014 with Mark Walhberg, Stanley Tucci, Nicola Peltz and Kelsey Grammar starring. Michael Bay is to returning to the director’s chair.
