A recent Time Warner investor confirms a follow up to Batman: Arkham City in the near future. This news was revealed by Time Warner’s CFO and chief administrative officer John K. Martin, when he stated "And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warner to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012." during the call.
According to sources, Rocksteady will not be involved in the development of the third outing, but rather busy with a Superman title instead. This third outing maybe following the rumor that went undisclosed a year or two ago involving the Silver Age Batman and the Justice League. This of course is all speculation, but a Batman game releasing this year without even a video or screenshot beforehand has me a little skeptical. Since it does involve a comic book superhero (And Team...Please?) I will remain skeptical.
Do you want another Arkham game or do you think they blew their load on Arkham City? Do you think this "third outing" will be for the next generation of consoles? Let us know in the comments below.
