It looks like Rayman Legends was delayed once more. The delayed Wii U launch game was originally pushed to February 26th, but Ubisoft has decided to postpone it until September, not due of the development with the game itself, but to make Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions alongside it.
"There are no issues with the game development,” said Ubisoft public relations specialist Sarah Irvin to Digital Spy. “All of the information was in the press release, the only reason for the delay is to release on multiple platforms. We usually release all of our platforms simultaneously (aside from PC). We've made special exception sometimes in the past but it's definitely just on a case by case basis and not our standard practice.”
It is unknown how the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions work in terms of the touch mechanics of Murfy, who guides players by cutting ropes, moving platforms and collecting Lums.
This after a day of the Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge announcement, it seems that developers aren’t getting their investment with solely developing on a single platform anymore and would rather expand their investment. However, the reasons behind Rayman’s sudden delay is pretty hard to swallow for Wii U owners.
